USD 408 Community: As of right now , the Central Office and MES are without power and the city is working on the issue as we speak. MMS and MHS are with power. Due to this, phone and internet may be spotty or even out during this time. MES is still in session and we will let you know of updates as it comes available.

MMS Football Practice Schedule: Monday - Wednesday - Practice (3:30-5:15 pm) Thursday - Home vs Bennington (8th grade Parent's Night) (players report to the stadium no later than 4:30 pm) Friday - No Practice (equipment check-in the following Tuesday after school)
Junior Warriors cross country meet starts at 2 PM today at the practice fields east of the game field! If you signed up to run you may show up early to get bibs and warm up. Just a reminder to stay off the track everything will be on the practice fields, including the finish line.
If you did not get signed up and would still like to run come on out and we will get you signed up !

USD 408 Community: Due to the track lines being painted, the track at the football field will be closed from Friday through Sunday. If your child is completing in the Cross Country race on Sunday, that will start and finish in the practice field area to the west of the football field. Thank you!
Reminder: Even with early release middle school football will have practice from 3:30 - 5:15 pm tonight.

Girls Golf Update! Our two senior golfers, Caitlin Thornhill and Natalie Sigel, competed at the Silver Lake golf meet yesterday. This was the first 18 hole meet of the year. Lake Shawnee Golf Course proved to be a tough test for the girls but they both battled and played well. This week the girls will be preparing for regionals at Village Greens! Wish them luck as they attempt to qualify for state golf.
USD 408 Community: Chess Club will meet today and tomorrow from 3:30-4:00 each day. Today will be at MES and tomorrow will be at MMS.

Friday - Film in Mr. Murphy's room until 4:15 pm
The MHS Warrior Band and the MMS Wildcat Band did an awesome job at the Old Settlers Day Parade!
Due to the golf tournament still going on, there will be no golf practice today.
Girls Golf Update! The golf team has participated in three meets in the last week. A varsity and JV meet in Council Grove, and a varsity meet yesterday at Clay Center. The girls continue to improve. Natalie Sigel led the way last week with a 52 at Council Grove. Yesterday the team was led by Caitlin Thornhill who posted a 54. The girls will travel to Lake Shawnee on Monday for their first 18 hole match. Regionals is the following Monday at Village Greens!
There will be NO middle school football practice after school tomorrow, Friday September 29th.

MHS Students will be providing a car wash for a free will donation this morning from 9:30 - 11:30 at J & K Car Wash across from the courthouse.
MMS Student Council members had a blast helping out with the high school's community service day! They decorated Carlson's & Aunt Bee's to celebrate homecoming week. Go Warriors!
