5th graders spent part of Thursday afternoon at the community garden. They collected over 200 pounds of food that will be distributed through the Marion County Food Bank!

Tonight is MMS Open House. We will have an 8th grade parent meeting at 6:45 with open house beginning at 7:00 in the Performing Arts Center. You can also support the MHS Art Club by purchasing a school calendar for $5 at tonight’s MMS Open House. If you already paid in full at enrollment, don’t forget to bring your calendar voucher to redeem your free calendar.

Welcome to the first day of school! Just a reminder that doors open at 7:30 a.m. at the Middle/High School and 7:35 a.m. at the Elementary. School start time is 8:00 a.m. for MMS/MHS and 8:10 a.m. for MES.
We are excited for today and cannot wait to get started!
MES families: MES open house and meet the teacher is tonight from 6-7 beginning at the SAC!
Tomorrow is the first day of school for 1st-5th grade students, Monday will be the first day of school for Kindergarten and Head Start!

Just a reminder that USD 408 Enrollment takes place today from 11:30-6:30 at the Sports Aquatic Center. We will also have Butler Community College there as well as selling past athletic jerseys and clothing for $1 a piece. Thank you for your continued support of USD 408 and we will see you at the SAC today!
Butler County Community College will be at enrollment on Wednesday from 11:30 to 6:30. Visit their table if you are interested in taking college classes this fall.

Just a reminder that Monday, July 29th, will be packet pick up at the Sports Aquatic Center from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 31st, will be enrollment also from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Sports Aquatic Center.
If you know any new families coming to school this year, they can also pick up enrollment packets on Monday to make enrollment easier and quicker on Wednesday.

Hello USD 408 Community!
We are one week away from enrollment packets being picked up! From 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Sports Aquatic Center, you can stop and pick up your enrollment packets for each student. Come back to enroll on Wednesday, July 31st as we will have enrollment back once again at the Sports Aquatic Center from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. as well. If you are new to the district, we will have extra packets made up to pick up Monday or come on Wednesday and we will get you are set up for the 2024-2025 school year!

Marion-Florence USD 408 is taking applications for bus driver positions. Successful candidates will be required to have or obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and must pass the district’s drug and alcohol test. The district will pay for training for the CDL and wages will be earned during training. Starting salary is dependent on experience. Bus Drivers are guaranteed 20 hours per week with the possibility for additional hours for activity trips. Benefit package is available including health insurance.
