This week is Red Ribbon Week at MES! Today students are wearing RED in celebration of making safe and healthy choices! A big thank you to the members of the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Marion County and the MHS National Honor Society members for being the superheroes who greeted our MES students this morning for Welcome Wednesday! Also a big thank you to Officer Christener for talking to our students about making safe choices!
MES families: The MES circle drive will be blocked off through the day today (10/27) due to our roofing project. If you plan to visit MES today, you will need to park on the side of the street or at the SAC. Thanks for your support!

Thursday's Events Schedule 10/29:
7:50-Set Up for MES Student Only Trunk-Or-Treat Begins. Please Do not Park in the SAC Parking Lot. (There is a limited amount of treats for MES students)
8:10-9:00- Lawrence Street will be blocked off for MES students to go to trunk or treat at the SAC.
8:15-9:00- MES student only Trunk-Or-Treat (students will NOT wear their costumes for this)
1:30-2:20-Fall Parties will be in the afternoon between 1:30-2:20 as communicated by grade level teachers.
2:20-2:40- Students will change into their costumes and get ready for the Halloween Parade.
2:40-2:45- Students will line up on the sidewalk of the circle drive. Parents are welcome to come for this event and will watch from the grass area of the Circle Drive. The Circle Drive will be blocked off for this event.
2:45- Halloween Parade Begins and will go by grade level (Parents are welcome and encouraged to come to the Parade!)
After the Parade: At the conclusion of the Halloween Parade, parents may sign their children out with their child’s teacher.
The community Downtown Trick-or-Treat event will begin at 4:00 PM on Thursday.

The MS/HS XC meet at Herington tomorrow, Thursday, Sept 17th has adjusted the start time for the start of the races due to heat.
5:30pm- MS Race(7th and 8th will run together)
6:00pm- HS JV and V girls
6:45pm- HS JV and V Boys
Team will leave from the Football field at 4:00pm!
