Layout Principles

Rules:

  • All information inside the "eyeball"
  • Consistent spacing: 1 pica
  • Design in columns
  • Every page needs a dominant picture
  • Have an interesting title image

    Things to Remember:

  • One square on layout sheet = 1 pica
  • Middle, blue section = gutter
  • Use either 3 or 4 columns
  • Left page = even
  • Right page = odd
