on how cameras work, Building Oatmeal Box Camera
Before building your camera check out these websites:
http://www.astro.wisc.edu/~mukluk/pin.html
http://www.kodak.com/cluster/global/
These will help you understand how one is built
plus see some images
created by an oatmeal box camera
____________________________________________________________________________
1. If your film or paper comes out black (all exposed), you might
have a light leak. Check the box for holes and patch, tape and paint any
suspicious places. Make sure the lid fits well and overlaps the sides of the
box at least an inch or so. If you are using fairly fast film or paper, it
might need much shorter exposures. Try cutting the exposure time in half, or
less
*2. If your film or paper comes out blank (clear or white), the
exposure probably wasn't long enough. Try longer exposures. It might turn out
you need twice as long or ten times as long, or more. Also, check to make sure
light can go through the pinhole and that nothing is blocking the pinhole when
you make exposures. Make sure you put the paper or film in the pinhole camera
with the emulsion facing the pinhole. If you put paper in backwards, with the
emulsion facing the back of the box instead of facing the pinhole, it would
need a much longer exposure.

photography". I want you to be developing film on , this
gives you Tuesday-Monday nights to shoot.

Before you begin, please write down at least 6 ideas (yes you can try different
ideas once you start, but you need to have a plan!)
