What are some famous works of art that would lend themselves to be become great photographs.
"Whistlers Mother", "Mona Lisa", "American Gothic", "The Scream" or ?????????

Project- use famous paintings or sculpture for stimulus to create new photos based on the original work of art.
Getting motivation from these great works of art, pose your subjects or objects to resemble the original.
Because these are now your works of art (photos) you can use artistic license and
twist the original idea to be humorous, strange or bizarre.
Research-
1.To begin find 6 reproductions of the original work you want to utilize in your photographs,
print these off and glue/tape in your notebook. "Masterpieces", not just paintings- NO PHOTOS!
Must be 6 different artists!

Beside each of the Masterpieces- develop a plan of -how,who,where you will use to create your photo.
Each artwork must have a separate plan, use different subjects (people) for each.
Be creative, try to achieve clear, contrasty, in-focus digital images to begin with.

2. Shoot digital images, on location on in the studio!!!!
3. Print Contact Sheet
4. Compose/create new works of art based on your masterpiece/new photo (with copy of reproduction of artwork within the composition) Print, Mr. V Check, Mr. V Print, you matt individually.
