Self Portraits
If you are given a roll a film and are asked to shoot photos of yourself, how
would you approach the task?
Would you get a tripod and find the self timer on the camera -sorry not an
option!
How else could you shoot photos of yourself?
Reflections!
Where do we find reflections? (mirrors, windows, water, etc.)
Can you list ten things that would reflect your image? (try)
What ways could you make these images more interesting? (other people in image,
backgrounds, hands, etc.)
1. Check out the website linked below to discover some new ideas?
As you view these, write down at least 10 ideas that really inspire you.
http://www.mirrorproject.com/mirror/
2. Although this web site is a bit different than our project, check this out
for more ideas.
Write down any that really interest you.
Challenge:
Reflections Without Mirrors
Details: Photographing a reflection is easy. Now, here's the hard part:
don't use a mirror as your reflective surface and don't show your camera in the
picture! Your photograph must be taken this week
Project-
After viewing examples on the web, develop a working plan
of ways you will attack this project.
Get roll of film from Mr. V and have fun shooting awesome images of yourself.
From this roll of 24 we will print 4 good 5X7' or bigger.
Note- For your last project this 9 weeks (3rd quarter) you will develop the
idea. Start making plans now, do not wait until the final week to shoot. Next
project can be done traditional or digitally.
